Types We Treat

Distal radius fractures, scaphoid fractures, metacarpal fractures, phalangeal fractures, and complex periarticular injuries. Dr. Letzelter also treats post-traumatic deformity and malunion.

Diagnosis

Plain X-rays are the starting point. CT or MRI scanning may be used for complex injuries or when fracture is suspected despite normal X-rays — such as with scaphoid injuries.

Treatment

Many fractures can be managed non-surgically with casting or splinting. When surgery is needed, Dr. Letzelter uses the latest fixation techniques — plates, screws, and wiring — to restore alignment and allow early rehabilitation.
